SACHTOPORE applications

Thanks to its special properties, SACHTOPORE is outstandingly suitable for separation of a large range of compounds which have up to now presented exceptional challenges to chromatography.

Separation of alkaline compounds


The balanced acid/alkali characteristics of SACHTOPORE favour separation and the peak symmetry of "alkaline compounds" in normal-phase chromatography.
Due to their acidic characteristics, classic packing materials such as silica cannot be used in normal-phase chromatography for separation of alkaline compounds, since these substances adsorb irreversibly or are eluted as peaks with a pronounced tailing.

Separation of pharmaceutical compounds


A large number of pharmaceutical substances and other valuable chemical products carry alkaline functions. SACHTOPORE therefore has a particularly high potential in terms of preparative purification of pharmaceutical intermediate and end products on a commercial scale. SACHTOPORE is also in successful use in the field of extraction of natural substances.

Separation of diastereoisomers, positional isomers and substitutional isomers


Thanks to the homogeneous crystalline surface which SACHTOPORE presents to the specimen molecules for adsorption and separation, even the smallest molecular differences in "isomers" can be discriminated.

Applications in the field of pesticides and herbicides


As one would expect with its potential for discrimination of isomers and alkaline compounds, SACHTOPORE is also eminently suitable for use in the pesticides and herbicides sector.
