A key factor: Fiber delustering
The delustering of naturally transparent synthetic fibers plays a major role in the complex process of man-made fiber production. Synthetic fibers must not only be hard-wearing, they must also meet demanding visual standards and be extraordinarily resistant to external influences. The anatase microcrystals used in the spun-fiber field are also additionally required to exert a positive effect on filter service-lives, gelling and the incidence of fiber breakage. Hombitan anatase microcrystals match this requirement profile with their extremely good dispersibility and uniform distribution in the most diverse types of polymers. They achieve excellent whitenesses, high opacity and minimum abrasion.Special Hombitan anatase microcrystals modifications enhance the fibers' UV stability, thus preventing discoloration of the polymer.

Hombitan LW-S-U:
The first in the field continues to be No. 1 around the world for delustering of polyester fibers. A non-coated anatase microcrystal with an antimony-doped crystal lattice, it ensures excellent light fastness and weathering stability in fibers. Its minimized catalytic activity produces a highly white hue with a slight blue tint, ideal for man-made fiber applications.
Hombitan LW-S-U-HD:
This anatase microcrystal, based on Hombitan LW-S-U, achieves extraordinarily good dispersibility with low shearing forces and a drastically reduced reagglomeration tendency during polymerization, thanks to the additional integration of an organic coating.
Hombitan LW-S:
Non-coated anatase microcrystal with a brilliant whiteness and neutral shade.
Hombitan LW-S-12:
Based on LW-S, this organically coated anatase microcrystal is ideal for specialized applications in the cellulose-viscose fibers field.
Hombitan LC-S:
Based on LW-S and a surface treated with inorganic and organic components, this anatase microcrystal provides ideal conditions for use in aqueous and organic systems (ethylene glycol, dimethyl formamide, dimethyl acetamide). In addition, Hombitan LC-S is also suitable for direct fiber delustering and for use in Masterbatch systems.
Hombitan LO-CR-S-M:
Inorganically and organically surface-coated anatase microcrystals. High lattice stability and an additional inorganic surface coating with manganese guarantee excellent light fastness for polyamide fibers treated with Hombitan LO-CR-S-M.
